Automatic mechanism?

I have several designs I would like to make automatic,Knifekits sells the coil springs,cutter bits.Is there a book that would help in making a automatic?Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not aware of any books but Chris Crawford offers a DVD on making a scale release auto. You can order it on his website .

Boker Magnum makes a couple of really inexpensive button locks sans spring. You could take one apart and see how it works.

Do like I did and buy a kit from knife kits and check out how they do it. Look at a few others. I have looked a a couple Buck conversions.
