Automatic watch?

I cant say enough good about the seiko 5's, for the price they are almost unbeatable. They can be had for ~70 dollars online. One thing to keep in mind is to make sure you get one that does NOT have an integral watch strap. The bands that come on the 5's are pretty shitty so if you want to change it you'll need the lugs spaced far apart enough to accomodate an after-market strap.
