Pretty sure I voided my warranty. [emoji51]
But I had my reasons ;)

Not too difficult to put back together except for the spring preload.
I got it by hand but just barely.

And here's the reason I took one apart.

I like the look of both of them but that orange/black is pretty slick.
    Opinions?

Nice contrast with the blade and hardware swap.
Looks well built with beefy pivot area and other parts.
Only thing I don't like is wire clip.
I disagree that you voided your warranty.

I think both look better now. As for voiding the warranty, unless you're an LEO or in the military, it's not really worth a damn anyway.

On a different note: it looks like, if one wanted to replace the scales, it would be fairly simple to omit the safety.

Look at that kick-ass big spring. I want.

Tongue in cheek on the warranty. Just having some fun with this model.
But yes, if someone wanted custom scales, the safety could be omitted.
Nice build on this knife. Thumbs up to the Spyderco folks.
