Even though I am not a huge fan of cold and several feet of snow; I look forward to the beauty that the cool weather bring to the area I live in now.

Marcelo, his son, and I took a walk to take in that scenery. But instead of posting a wall of text, I hear a picture is worth a thousand words. So here is 26,000 words worth of pictures!

Even in the forrest the colors are brilliant. But now the color is on the ground as well.

More coming

It's good to know there are more people practicing shelter skills. At first I thought it may be a ground blind, but there is no hunting permitted in that spot, so I'll just say shelter attempt.

And here are couple of things we found that we took home.

Thanks for looking:thumbup:

Great pics man, I especially love the lake with the fall foliage around it.

Excellent pics bro, that's a beautiful area ... did the pooch find some Inonotus Obliquus ?

Just googled Inonotus Obliquus, thanks for getting all Doc Canada on me with latin names..

No, thats a dead Birch tree, False Tinder fungus grows on dead Birch. True Tinder Fungus on live Birch.

Your leaves are changing faster then ours are. Good pics though

Now I just have to wait a few weeks for our leaves to be that color..

awesome pics guys... that is some beautiful scenery for sure.. i would love to check your neck of the woods one of these days..:)

as for your bounty, nice scores.. is that long spiraling stick a piece of Sassafras??

Awesome photos Tony, particularly those in the first of your second post. I love to hang on at lakes where Beavers live and watch them get on with their days.

Lucky you!! Wish I could find a Fiddleback Arete just laying around in the woods :)
