Autumn in New England.

i would love to check your neck of the woods one of these days..:)

as for your bounty, nice scores.. is that long spiraling stick a piece of Sassafras??

1st, If you or the family ever want to come over, mi casa su casa:thumbup:

Not Sassafras, but some woody vine, like you see here.

Did he chop that rock into with the knife shown? ;)

Great pictures.

Yeah, I miss that old bastid's posts:(

At Big Mike, Awesome pics brother, we need to hook up next week!

Tony, I delivered to Canton CT and Niantic CT today. The drive was incredibly beautiful. As much as I love the Northwest, I can easily see how you guys can love this area.
I wish I could stop and hike.

Just googled Inonotus Obliquus, thanks for getting all Doc Canada on me with latin names..

No, thats a dead Birch tree, False Tinder fungus grows on dead Birch. True Tinder Fungus on live Birch.

Say what?

Yeah, I miss that old bastid's posts:(

Say what, Part II?

Bite me, youngin'!

We're having a gathering on Sunday, so may have something to post.

Too bad you couldn't be here again. You already know where the Tim Horton's is.......

BTW, excellent pictures, Big Mike - saved a couple. Tony, yours are ok, too.

Boy, Marcelo's son sure looks like him, doesn't he?

GP

Looks like a good time was had by all. The twisty vine - is that bittersweet? If so, it may be a good source for cordage fibers.
