Availability of Vintage NIB Buck Knives?

I wish this forum had a "like" option

Afraid so. :) retired in 99. Pretty much raised the kids around the country and we really enjoyed our time we had. I spent some time on the east coast but the bulk of my career was on the west coast. We were in Seattle when I retired and we moved back to Nebraska since both are families are here. Still miss it on occasion. :)

I was never one to like a structured life. I disliked school. Although I'm no atheist I don't like going to church. I disliked the Co Gu from day one. I did ok, made 2nd class in 3 years but could not wait to get out. I owned my own business until I retired 11 years ago. I was born to be retired, unstructured freedom

The knife was made in 1981. I bought it in 82 NIB at a gun show.

Interesting, so Buck switched to the flat sheath as early as 1981, which tells me the swivel sheath was probably around a few years before that.

Still curious about how many Micarta spacers are in the handle?
