avast malware warning

I dont like the idea of having to pay $20 for a member ship just to avoid a possible virus.......
 
For what its worth, I visited Bladeforums earlier and got the same thing from my virus protection, plus another. It shut my computer down, and I had to reboot. I got everything cleared up and within minutes if getting back on bladeforums I had the same problems. I got it cleared off again and I haven't had any problems from any other sites.
 
I tried it on another computer with a different antivirus software. I got on bladeforums and after surfing a bit that computer started blocking two different trojan viruses. How are we supposed to support the site, when you you will have banners showing until you get your card information entered?
 
I've turned off the default ad campaigns. We'll see if that improves things.

No problems with any of the ads tonight on my computer. Looks for now that may have been the cause. Thank you Spark for looking into this.
 
Thanks Spark. I too had picked up some kind of virus or trojan that I couln't get to stop running when I visited this site a few days ago.

Ran Mcafee immediately and it got rid of it.

No more problems so far. Thanks again.
