Define "biggest". This may not have gone as well as you're thinking.

:D

Define "taking down" while you're at it. :D

My buddy down in Mobile found some Berkeley "Lightning" graphite rods on clearance for $6 each and picked me up a couple. I decided to go old school on the setup. These'll be channel cat rigs.

I'm trying out Howard's Butcher Block Conditioner for knives. It's beeswax and carnuba in food grade light mineral oil as a carrier. It has a jelly-like consistency. Anybody tried this before?

Sweet deal. Can't go wrong with the ol tried and true Zebco 33's either. ;)

Had to post my new T.M. matching set.
No rocks, no care! :P

Biscuit, is that deal available for other folks too? I wouldn't mind picking up a new crappie rod. My brother picked up a new St. Croix MH 6'6" at the boat show for $20. Apparently two of the eyes were out of line so it was a "seconds" but by the time he got it, the eyes were already fixed.

It was just a right time, right place deal. He bought all five they (Academy) had at that price, kept three, and I got two. I was down his way in early March, so no shipping charges.

A St. Croix for $20 is an insane deal. My 4-piece travel rod is a St. Croix Premier, and I felt like I stole it on the 'bay at $80.

I use a Shimano Sellus rod (I think) with a Quantum Fire Spinning (I think... again). I got it as a kit deal from Scheels for $75. We are planning on going out this weekend and are trying some new line. We just bought some Trilene XT line. I'm not much of a fisher, but it's kind of fun to go drown some worms.
