I'm seeing a bunch of test posts, so I figured I'd help you guys out. Here's some basic instructions for you...

1. Click on the User CP button at top right.
2. Click on the Edit Options link at top center.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the screen. Click on the Change Avatar button at bottom right.
4. Click on the YES radio button. If you don't, your Avatar <b>will not upload!!!!!!!![/b]
5. Click on the browse button and find your Avatar image on your computer. I typically put them on my desktop for quick and easy uploads.
5.1. Make sure your Avatar is no larger than 120x120 pixels.
5.2. Make sure your Avatar is no larger than 10K in size.
6. Click on the submit modifications button. You will be returned to your user control panel.
7. Click on the Edit options link again.

If you can see your Avatar under that section, then you did things correctly. If not, then somehow you aren't following the instructions. Repeat steps 3-7 again.

Well, that doesn't seem too hard.:)

I mean after you explain it.
Thanks Spark

Spark, I followed your instructions to the letter, the system continues to put me back with no avatar downloaded. I cannot get any non custom avatars to list either. Any ideas?

I use Corel PhotoPaint 8 software. When opening picture you can choose: whole picture, crop, resize etc.

If you are having problems with your Avatar's, upload them to a site somewhere, and post the link - that way someone can take a look at them and figure out what is going on.

Don't upload them to photopoint or any other image hosting company that will add size or captions to your pics...

I seem to have figured out the avatar thing.
My only gripe is that I would much rather have an .mpg as an avatar.
Now don't anyone steal this idea, cuz it's mine, but I wanna get the entire Freemont Street Experience, full size and length as my avatar.
It's only about 12 trillion gigs, and the way technology's speeding up, I think it would only slow down page loading by a few months.
That's a small price to pay, wouldn't everyone agree?

Spark, the old avatars could be 120 X 120 pixels. Is there a reason that you went back to 50 X 50? It actually still states that you can use a picture that is 120 X 120 pixels with a maximum of 10,000 bytes.

Actually, I just noticed that the original post by Spark was from 2001. I am sure that the current problems have nothing to do with this thread.
