John - If you were trying to add an avatar, you need to add one to your profile under USER CP. There don't appear to be any standard avatars yet. I just used the graphic that I had and reduced it to avatar size with a graphics program.

I think max size is 50 x 50 pixels. If your graphics program allows you yo resize, resize so the maximum dimension is 50 pixels.
