Average age of strider owner???

I have one and another on order and I'm 28. I frequent the same forum the OP is talking about and when I have time I attend the local get togethers from that forum. The majority of the guys that attend the get togethers are in their early thirties to mid fifties and up. That seems to be the case with a lot of the guys from the forum in general based on pictures that I see. I think most of the guys are pretty much in their 40's and 50's. It takes some serious cash to buy the collections that many of those guys have, so it makes sense that so many are in their 40's and up. In a good get together, their could easily be $50k+ worth of high end productions and customs in the restaurant.

i must be simply amazing because i am thirteen and i own a sng

Simply a liar. :) That is all.

As per the OP 19 here, had an SMF Digi Spear, exchanged for SnG Tiger Stripe, ended up with an SnG DGG Tiger Stripe.

Planning on selling a few things the SnG included and possibly getting an SMF. Doubt I'll own more than 1 Strider any time soon, if ever.

42... I have 5 , carry the PT CC daily ( in addition to a couple slipjoints ) , my " while not at work in the office " is a Strider AR , gets used a lot in the shop.

just an FYI , I also have Strider ink , got it about 6 years ago .

41 here & I had an SNGCC & sold it, retrospectively I wish I hadn't done that.:o

Your right , but on the other heavy strider forum, i feel kinda out of place; They use the term Bro alot and talk about new strider tats. Makes me feel like an old man.

i think that is more the tone of the other forum than having anything to do with striders, necessarily.

many, many people here have and use striders.

i currently dont have any in the stable, but ive owned at least a dozen over the years.

i am 39 as well.

I am 44 and only been a real knife nut for 3 yrs. I never heard of Strider prior to being on this forum. Then again, I never heard of most of the knife companies til I joined this forum. I agree that it seems to be a tactical coolness about them that attracts the younger crowd.

John,

I did the superman thing also. I thought maybe it was a Marvel comics tacticool super hero knife marketed to Dungeon and Dragon burn outs!

I had to spell it out in my feeble mind also. Swiss Army Knife.... SAK OK, now I got it. I never claimed to be the sharpest tool in the crayon box:confused:..... er. something like that anyways.:D

33 and I have 8 of them. Love em all. The bro word is used a lot on the other forum, but the people and content are Kick-Ass, so it doesn't bother me at all.

I'm 30 and don't want to own one. I also don't have any tattoos and don't say or type bro.

They just don't appeal to me and neither does the Sebenza. :foot:

I'm 47 and on active duty with the US Army. I have 5, 2 VBs, and one each EB-T, EBL-T, EBL-S. Carried one of the VBs and the EB-T last year in Iraq. Sold my DB, DB-L, and SNG last month to raise some cash for a gun project.

I'll play

I'm 35, and have owned 2 SnG's and 1 PT. I currently own one SnG which is getting carried almost daily.
