"The rest of the story" (to quote radios Paul Harvey)
They were purchased:
#1 August 1970. Randall Model 5 Rosewood Handle. Nickel Silver Hilt.

#2 Sept 1970 Loveless #70-455 4" Drop Point Hunter. Cape Buffalo Horn
handle. Special Wrapped Brass Overlay over the full tang. Nickle Silver Hilt. (I'm told very rare.)I purchased it out of the counter at Paragon Sporting Goods, Broadway N.Y.

#3 Dec. 1970 Randall "Little Bear Bowie" Rosewood Handle. Duralluminum
but cap. Matched set with Model 5.

#4 Dec. 1975 Sigman Model 7 (With model 6 handle) African Blackwood handle, with Sterling silver pins around the outer edge of each slab.

#5 May 1978 Loveless #269 3 1/2" Dropped Point Hunter. Stainless Hilt.
1 7/16" top brass tang, scored. Dark Red Micarta Handle.

Right and left handed sheaths for all except the Randall Little Bear.
All look like they were made yesterday.
I never realized what I was buying at the time. I think Bob Loveless was hardly known back then. 1970
We wrote letters back and forth when I ordered the 2nd knife. Also spoke to him on the phone. I originally wanted a white handle on the 269. He wouldn't do it for some reason. He said that the Red handle would look good. (Understatement) The balance on his knives are unmatched in my opinion.

Little did I know.............:)

I came out with around $133 for productions and $200 for custom. Of course I only bought one custom so it's not much of an average. $143 overall average per knife for this year.
