They had a Becker BK101 that I was looking for and couldn't find on any of the reputable sites I'm familiar with, so I ordered it last Friday. I got conflicting emails from them (from different addresses and domains - one of them IN ALL CAPS) regarding what day it would ship. The newer email said it would ship out later on Friday.

I had to email both addresses asking for the tracking number (they only ship insured and someone needs to be here to sign) before I finally got a response on Monday night telling me they'd have it for me in the morning. (ok..)

Tuesday night, no package (I'm only 3 days out via UPS ground), no tracking number, and now they're ignoring emails/calls.

I don't know what their problem is, but I'll pass on doing business with them again if they can't be bothered. Whether or not I'll ever get the knife is another issue altogether. My card has been charged, so we'll see.

My knife arrived today, scratched up.. pretty obvious it had been returned by someone previously. Cardboard "sheath" was sliced, no rust protection on the edge, finish on the scales chipped off.

Not even going to waste my time trying to get them to make it right.. it turned out to be shipped by a 3rd party anyway which just complicates things further.

Sorry to hear of your expierence sir,Thanks 4 the heads up.. On a more upbeat note...where in Marion Cty sir, Im in Ocala:D neighbor.

You place the order on a Friday and by the following Wednesday you come unglued. Not all sellers have the time or interest to cater to neophyte requests for tracking numbers. Pardon me for suggesting that you are not cut out to do buying on-line. Your "mistrust meter" was pegged the moment you sent funds. Now you complain about condition. Please, please lets never do a deal.

Granted shipping timeframe WAS within reason, I think MORE of the issue was the LACK of communication, for I the PO and such are an Hour plus away I as well would like to plan on an packages arrival to save the trip, not to much to ask, and if vendor to BZ.... just provide tracking info as requested and buyer can follow up himself? WTF. That compounded by the Knife arriving in the condition it did??? I guess Im wayyy to paranoid as well, better put me on that list of your also Whit. :) True Nothing Earthshattering occurred thats for sure;) , BUT valid thread in the porper place IMHO thanks for the heads up sir.

We've been associated with Knives4You for over 5 years. Frank is a retired Naval Officer of 20 years and a devout Christain. If he knew you weren't satisfied I'm positive he would take of the situation pronto.
The condition of the knife is unacceptable. It was probably sent from one of his other distributors, therefore he is unaware of it's condition.
I'll contact him personally and let him know you'll be in touch.

I have no dog in this race but here is a little info.

Internet dealers can sell you a knife they dont have in stock becuase it is drop shipped from a distributor. They just pocket the difference between the 2 figures. The down side to this is that you could get something that has been returned. I have a small Internet based shop, but I have to carry and pay in full for everything I have in stock. I cant even remember how many times I have had to send something back to a distributor that was obviously a return, like you say no grease, torn or missing blade covers, missing stones from sharpening systems with packages that have obviously been opend and taped shut again, pivot screws damaged, the list goes on. This is why I only deal with higher end stuff as their QC is much better. Anyway, I think if the owner of this particular store is getting both barrels for a situation that was clearly out of his hands (literally) they he deserves a second chance to make it right.
