So here's my story.

Back in March I ordered a knife from Oso Grande--a black blade, plain edge CQC8. It said they had one in stock but they did not and shortly after I received an email saying they had no such knife; furthermore they had no idea when of if they would ever be getting that make and model in again and tried to sell me on some other blade. I responded, no thank you and asked them to please cancel the order.

Flash ahead to this week and what do I find on my credit card statement but a charge by Oso Grande for the full amount of a knife I never received and presumed was cancelled.

A mistake, right? Must be.

Well I've been struggled to contact these people for days now, sending emails and phoning, and had zero luck. They do not answer either.

Their prices are inflated to begin with. I only went with them because their site said they had a knife in stock I could not find in stock anywhere else--which turned out to be a bait-and-switch.

Now I am trying to correct their error and getting increasingly frustrated. I will never do any business with this merchant again.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. If you do a search of the Feedback forum, you'll find your experiences are not uncommon.

Sorry for your troubles;been there too many times myself. If you have not done so already, contact your credit card company and let them sort it out.
Over the years,I have whittled down my CC's to one~AMEX. Any problems what so ever,1 phone call and I know it is taken care of-immediately.
I carry a back up debit/Visa for the occasional places that do not accept AMEX but as a rule, I tend to not do business with those that do not.

Good luck.

If you continue to have no luck contacting the vendor then definitely be sure to contact your card issuer within the specified period is for disputing charges. Maybe it is a mistake like you thought but if you can't get in touch with anyone then they're not leaving you any choice but to formally dispute it.

2 things come to mind immediately:
Contact the credit card company and have them refund your money. Let them know that you ordered something, but the item didn't ship but you got charged.

I've dealt with OGKT, and it was rather a strange experience. Everything went okay for me, but I had a bad initial feeling.

They turned up in a Spyderco sprint run shopping search a few weeks ago and listed some of the upcoming sprints, at least Endura and Delica Super Blue, with typical prices. But the last few times I've been there their site would not display properly on my browser (Chrome), so today I tried Firefox -- still no dice, plus, when I tried to log in, a message popped up that I was going to an unencrypted page and my data would be vulnerable. A quick search lead me to this thread... thank you. I don't believe I'll be returning to OsoGrande.

Just call your credit card and have them refund you the money, it's easier than dealing with those dopes
