I recently was fortunate enough to get a knife made by Robert Dark, at Dark Custom Knives. I'm sorry I can't add a picture of it, camera is down for the count. But go to his site for lots of pictures. Once I got mine I had to let everyone know about his work, his knives are awesome, mine is razor sharp and ready for the field. I can honestly say he makes some of the best knives I've seen.

I would like to keep him a secret for my own selfish reasons, but it wouldn't be fair to him or you. You won't be disappointed, and you'll get a knife that will be around long after you're gone.....he knows what he's doing!:thumbup:

i have always liked roberts knives.... i own one... :Dhis leather work is top notch too...:thumbup:

Robert Dark makes some awesome stuff. You should see the Dark Camp Knife that mtn folk Mike has.

Mr. Dark sells in the maker's forum from time to time.

Dark Knives are all pretty good looking knives. I've had the pleasure of emailing with Robert recently and I like that most of his knives on his site are all marked SOLD. I hope to see more on them.

Hoping Mike will share a pic soon if he can, or if anyone else has one that would be great too. Got a feeling we'll be seeing more and more pics of Dark Custom Knives, they are awesome!

sorry guys on laggging on putting up the DARK knife pics...:o i have been crazt busy lately and haven't been online much in the past few days... i just finished a doz. custom spruce arrows for a guy and a knife sheath for another fellow forumite... pics of those soon to follow as well..:)

the misses has also been home the past few days, with a hurt back.. she tends to put a damper on my shop/forum time...:(

here's my Robert Dark camp knife...:cool: it sports a wicked sharp 6 in. O-1 blade and natural micarta scales.... the sheath is really nice too, it's got a pouch for a magnesium block on it..:thumbup:

VERY NICE!!! Thanks for sharing, another great example of his work. Those that don't have one of his blades yet are missing out. I can't imagine going anywhere else when I need one.

Welcome to the forum! As a moderator, I have to ask this: do you have any commercial affiliation with the maker?

They do look like nice knives!
 
Thank you for the welcome, and a fair question. No I do not (I wish I did), just truly got one of his knives, my first by him, and was so impressed that I wanted to share his info. with others. I hadn't heard of him before and wondered if others had.....and if not thought they might like to. Thought folks in this forum would benefit most by hearing about his work. I wish I had a vested interest, but do not. Thanks again though for checking, and for the welcome. I have enjoyed reading all the threads, some really good stuff here, hope I can contribute.
 
Cool, TwoDogs - I take people at their word, so I am satisfied. Plus Robert Dark has a paid knifemaker membership, so all is good.

Just had to ask the question in my capacity as moderator. Carry on! :)
