Many of you may have seen the beautiful San Mai Jack Daniels skinner that JWS ( J W Stekervetz) posted in the knife makers exchange. If you haven't seen it, go search the subforum and check it out. I've been in the market for a dedicated skinning knife and fell in love with his design. All his knives are hand forged and heat treated by him. In fact every aspect of the knife is made by hand by JWS, even the beautiful leather sheath. Since the knives are hand forged some slight variations will naturally occur. The knife he made for me turned out better than I imagined. Lignum vitae handles and a very unique, yet convenient sheath system. I love everything about it and would not hesitate to do more business with him. The communication throughout the whole process was top notch with pictures throughout the whole process. Not to mention the turn around time of a week and a half! If you're lookin for a truly custom handmade knife by a true craftsman give him a call or msg him here on the forums. I felt very involved with the making of the knife and encourage anyone interested to support guys like JWS. He's one of the good ones!!
