Thanks for all the comments everyone. I'll be sure and post more pics from future hikes. For the Michigan folks... it's a spot along the Huron River west of Ann Arbor. Not much in the way of established trails, but plenty of quality bushwacking. This is definitely the best season to explore. I've been through there before in the summer and never even saw the mill ruins. Some sections of the river are state land, some are private and some are Metropark or county property. There is lots of good bass and trout fishing at various spots along the 110 mile length. It's a great canoe/kayak river. I've been able to paddle the whole thing on several occasions. I'm really lucky to have this so close to home.

August West... that IS a strange coincidence. Nice kit.
kgd... I couldn't resist my beaver made seat for a fire spot. I'll check out those shelter spots soon though.
