Awl Question

Anybody ever sharpen the awl on a Leatherman? If so how did you do it and how did it turn out.

i sharpened the awl on my lm juice cs4 using a coarse and then fine diamond file. it's much more usable now, more like the awl on the vic soldier.

Thanks for the reply. I noticed that the awl on Leatherman worked poorly compared to those on my sak's. Did you just sharpen the angled cutting edge or did you thin down the entire awl?

I sharpen it like I would a pair of scissors.Mark it and do the entire edge.

Took the small skinny screwdriver on my squirt and turned it into an awl with a bench grinder. It worked great, looks like a mini version of the V-nox.
