I tested out my trail hawk on a 6 inch log today. Now I have two smaller logs.


Why didn't you guys tell me that would be so much fun? Now I feel like I need a bunch more hawks. :grumpy:

Last time I used an axe was before I acquired the knife fever... I've been wanting to fix up the edge on my dad's old axe and hatchet, but I'm afraid to go near them. I don't need a 3rd addiction

Funny you should mention that. I was just looking into that sort of work earlier today...

And as for right up the road, I was born and raised right next to Maple Valley. Visit Ravensdale much? I haven't checked in on it for a long time... It's probably a lot bigger than it was 8 years ago. I kinda wish I could have watched it grow from the comfort of my old pasture...

I visit Ravensdale at least weekly. My work is often in Hobart, Ravensdale or Kanaskat. Ravensdale hasn't grown that much - nothing like Maple Valley has.
