i'd keep the axe and go to work on it.

i've gotten a hold of some really grossly fugged axes in the past,

sometimes you end up with a pretty decent tool , especially if you put your mind to the task ..a bit of thought and elbow grease. put your mind to it.

Elbow grease
i like elbow grease, it's getting rare nowadays with everything all fixed up and ready to go. no need for expensive elbow grease!!!!

but working on one of these misfits can be its own reward, a project is always good for the soul.
