My first thought was to throw it on the electric grinder and be done in about 10 minutes, then sharpen up. My gut told me, and the old timer in "An Ax to Grind" video backed up - I should absolutely not do that, so I will not.
You can use grinders as long as you're CAREFUL not to temper the edge. Best way I know to ensure that is to place your thumb on the blade opposite the grinding wheel. When it's too hot to touch it's time to quench again - and well before you've ruined the edge.
Another option - if you have a forge - is just to grind the heck out of it and re-harden the edge when you're finished.
