Well...I guess this shoots the vintage axe preference all to hell. Didn't think it would happen. I wish you well with your new HB. Let us know how it works out for you.
Do you have a CT Velvicut HB? A comparison would be interesting.

This is a good summation. I got caught up in the 'I must have a GB' but this is a fine looking axe. Will be keeping an eye out for impressions after some use.
