Mr. Brian Andrews
Just a note to say thanks for the inspiration. Since I read your post on how you set up your axe and why, I have rehung a small axe I had (1.25lb head and 18.5in. handle). I took great care in preparing the handle and head before mating them. As I type this note I am applying a light patina and then on to the sheath.
This project has taken the better part of two months since I wet sanded the head by hand. It was something I did while watching TV at night.
Well it was a joy to use this weekend camping and I can't imagine going without it. So, I figured I would have to say thanks for showing me what I was missing. I am sure you have inspired others than me.
THANKS FOR SHOWIN' ME WHAT i WAS MISSIN!
This forum is great.
Sincerely,
