Axe, Tomahawk & Hatchet Photo Thread

This thread is so droolworthy!

My Gransfors Scandinavian will be here in a week or so, I'll try to post some action pics when it comes.

My neighbor's KATCO (King Axe and Tool Company) axe found in her grandmother's barn. Clearly it had been used for a splitting wedge. Otherwise in good condition. I was able to take the cap wedge off and rehang it on the same handle. Still good for light use.

I have some hard use axes that are in worse shape than that one. Let me know if you ever want to get rid of it ;)

Had a nice find at a local antique store for $9. I was able to unhang the axe and save the handle though I'm not sure how solid the handle is.

Here are my kids, from right to left:

Hultafors forest axe I picked up in Ireland
Arms and Armour Nordland axe prototype
butches forge hawk
Stuart Willis spike hawk
bark river small axe
gill hibben throwing axe, these are lots of fun to throw and are the best balanced throwing weapon I've used.

Marsh & Sons, Oakland, ME axe on a handle I saved from another maine-style axe. Hang came out a little more closed than I'm used to but not worried about it. Not sure how much I'll use this one.
