Axe, Tomahawk & Hatchet Photo Thread

I think it's just the pictures, its actually not that big. I believe it weighed in around 2.5 lbs and its actually not in that bad of condition. I soaked it in vinegar for a few days to get the rust off

Maybe one of Stihl replacement handles would fit with little bit of shaving.

I was thinking about maybe a 15 inch handle, I tried a boys axe handle and the shape was all wrong for the eye. I've been told European flat eye or something squared head might work but haven't found a picture of this shape head on one of those handles.

I never did tune into these pages much before but I can see this is where the interesting stuff has shifted in the wake of all these long and boring general topic threads out front here. You got some nice postings Classic Plastic, (and others of course), did you recognize, by any chance, these two? (Not my own axes by the way, unfortunately).

I am having trouble zooming up on the axe to tell if it’s a Topor without a spine or whatever that is called or a “Rhinelandish” pattern. The handle shape and shoulder make me think Germany to Eastern Europe but axes travel almost as much as people do.
Could be Russia.

Matching Father and son shirts though
