    I was thinking about maybe a 15 inch handle, I tried a boys axe handle and the shape was all wrong for the eye. I've been told European flat eye or something squared head might work but haven't found a picture of this shape head on one of those handles.

    I never did tune into these pages much before but I can see this is where the interesting stuff has shifted in the wake of all these long and boring general topic threads out front here.     I am having trouble zooming up on the axe to tell if it’s a Topor without a spine or whatever that is called or a “Rhinelandish” pattern. The handle shape and shoulder make me think Germany to Eastern Europe but axes travel almost as much as people do.
    Could be Russia.

    Matching Father and son shirts though :thumbsup:
