• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Axe versus Saw Test with Data

I really think that depends on the size of the wood and how accesible it is. If it's something that can be easily cleaved with 1 or 2 swings of the axe but takes 2 dozen saw strokes an axe wastes less energy. If it's in a tight spot where getting a good swing is impossible or if the wood is extremely hard and you can't get the axe to bite deeply then a saw would make more sense. I for one love bow saws for pruning dead branches on orange trees (hard and dense stuff) because even if I could get an axe or large chopping blade in there the saw is way less effort. When limbing a small tree or sapling with 1 inch branches blades are way faster and less effort.
