Axeandadze

O, no.
It is convex double bevel blade...
Normal bearded axe blade.
Suitable for splitting.. And if you have strong arms for chopping...

I like the idea of two sizes, one in your proposed length of 25 inches, and a longer 36 inch for people like me who are used to that length for splitting duties. Either way it looks like a great splitting axe.

I'd keep the handle short like a hewing axe - maybe 20" - .5 meters. And a little upsweep would be nice. Are those cast steel? Is it the same steel as your nice little adze?

Long beards are not for splitting. They put to much strees on the eye wood when the force of a heavy blow is on the beard. They are better suited to the lighter blows of hewing work.

This is a very attractive pattern. Is it based on typical ot traditional splitting axes from your country? I also would be in the slightly shorter handled camp.
I think people would also like a chopping axe with a slimmer wedge and a shorter beard; the efge ending at the bottom of the collar with the same angle to the sweep.

Yeah, I've wondered about that, but ipt mentioned it was suitable for splitting, but maybe heavy for chopping unless you're a little fitter.

This axe is mainly for splitting.
As you may notice in front of the axe the geometry of the axe is like wedge.
On back side the beard is much more thin.
I'll post pictures only of the head.
This is traditional pattern here.
We dont have axes like yours. O, now we have, but they are Chinese junk.
You can see better geometry from here...

My last axe...
Stainless steel, viking engravings, mirror polished.
Ash tree handle, treated with blo.

That's a very handsome axe, does it have a spike end or an adze end?
A spike end would be good for picking up split pieces of firewood off the ground for loading a wheelbarrow
Is that one of a kind or a new addition to your line?

It is an adze blade.
And you can do the same with as the spike.
Final product of my line.

Looking very good ipt. Mine is holding up great. I used it to carve a couple more handles yesterday so that makes 4 total and I am liking what I am seeing.

I know, I know. I think about doing videos off and on. Sometimes I think, yeah I'm going for it, but then I talk myself out of it. I will be doing a real review on my blog though.

Thank you, Steve!
I'll need 2-3 days to prepare it!...
Here is axeandadze in action:
