Birthday approaching, I have decided to add an axis to my armoury, but which one....

At present I am vacilating between the Osbourne 940 and the McHenry & Williams 710(4").

Let 'er rip.

These knives are different enough that you should be able to figure this out just by what your desires are! Both are extremely well done and good looking. The 710 is built heavier, more of a hard work knife. The Osbourne looks more refined, not quite the hard-use knife the 710 is, but smaller, more carryable, more civilized.

Very different knives intended for basically different use. 710 Mc'Henry & Williams is hardcore working/tactical folder, pretty large, very strong and somewhat onto heavy side. It can cause some sensation from bystander side when you will draw it with peaceful intentions.
940 Osborne is classy "strong gentleman's" (or "light tactical"?) folder which generally causes admiring: "Wow, it's cool!"

Both knives display interesting designs and flawless execution. You definitely can't go wrong with either, but think about what kind of use you intend for them.

Guys,

Thanks for your responses. You're right I got a chance to see the knife in person and it was much more refined then I had imagined from the pictures I had seen. "Gentleman's knife" was what came to my mind as well.

Since I wanted something more robust, I'll go with the McHenry Williams, but the Osbourne is a very elegant design. I liked it a lot, so I'm ordering one for my dad. The best of both worlds!

When I originally saw this post I thought:

"Why would a post concerning the members of Germany's WWII Axis alliance (Italy and Japan) be in the Knife review section?"

Now I understand
