Axis Lock broken...New Knife?

Take it outside and break the blade in half by stomping it really hard on a curb. Then, throw it as hard as you can at a tree something like 15 or 20 times. Hook a string to it and drag it behind your car for at least 5 or 10 blocks at 25MPH +.

Now box it up and send it to Benchmade and ask them what kind of junk knife they make and demand they replace it.
 
You can tell the springs are broken because there is a little tail of spring that you can move around in the locking mechanism. Also at first only the one spring was broken and the bar was uneven and the locking action not like it had been. Once both springs broke, you wouldn't have to take much time to figure it out, the thing just doesn't lock.
