This is Aunt Yangdu's deal of the day. We got this sweater as a gift when we were in Nepal last and it is too tight on me and too loose for Yangdu. I figure about a size 40 or 42. It is handknit of Tibetan sheep wool all natural color -- no dye. It's a pretty heavy piece of knitwear -- maybe 1/5 pounds or so. I have worn these before and they are very warm. On cold days I'd wear a nylon windbreaker on the outside and the sweater inside and stayed pretty warm. Oh yes, the buttons are natural wood -- saatisal, I think. The sweater color is actually a very light tan -- not as white as the flash makes it look.
The knife is a true village model with a hill walnut handle. I took the pix at an angle so you could see the contrast of the wood that is common to the hill walnut. This khukuri is 14 inches and weighs just about a pound. Good solid blade nicely hardened and not a bad fit and finish for a villager. Good scabbard but no karda or chakma.
Aunt Yangdu says she'll deliver this package deal to your door for $75.
Call or email if interested.
