Aye, Aye, Captain!

All these positive comments, coupled with the start of a new job working on & around freight barges, makes me want to get one! You bastards!!! ;)

Yeah but you'll love us when you get it. I know brother I've had to eat hot dogs and bologna sandwiches on a few occasions because of spending my grocery and utility $$ on Spyders :D

But I can assure you that the C-111 Captain model is a keeper for sure. I've already got a deal worked out for my 3rd one. Plus you better keep in mind that if this model doesn't go over well it will be discontinued before you know it. Then you would be calling us worse names :o But just take the plunge and get it over with ;) you won't regret it.

do you have to use the choil to get all four fingers on the handle?

I personally have to. If there was one minor modification I could make on the Captain it would be to make the handle about 3/4 of an inch or 18mm longer would be totally perfect. However it is not bad at all considering what you would use that blade to do.

But I'm telling you that the double liner sure makes it a stout little puppy

I was pleasantly surprised by the Captain. It is smaller than I thought it would be, but it's very comfortable. I'm not sure if the blade shape would really fit my needs well since it was made for a specialized purpose. If I worked around a boat, I'd probably be seriously considering getting one. But since I don't work or play around much water, my Pacific Salt gets the job done just fine for those purposes.

Hi,

The Captain C111 is compact enough for it to perfectly fit in a Denim Pocket Watch  !

Cheers

I really like the "look" of this knife. I'm seriously thinking of getting one because of the heavy duty construction. But what's it for? I mean, when someone takes it into their head to design a knife, they usually have specific tasks in mind that will be better done by their design.

Some have suggested a seafaring job because of the name, but there are Captains in the Army, Marines and Air Force, too. And their jobs are a little different than a sea Captain. What job is this knife for?

I liked The Captain From The first time I saw it, I have to say it is not ONLY the look that make this knife special, this is a knife that teaches you what it is capable, time after time. And it does not work like a conventional traditional knife it is deferent and SOME TIMES even better........
Be well Arnon:rolleyes:
