• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Aything like the BB13

Wow, I learned something new here, I did not know about the difference in thickness. With it's size me tends to think BG is the way to go maybe???

I didn't know the BG BB13s where thinner/lighter? That is very interesting to me and I might have to go that why when I get one now. Why would Busse make the thicker blade from the more durable steal INFI and the thinner blade from less so sr101?
My guess has always been that it was so nobody could strip a Battle Grade blade and try to pass it off as a Combat Grade. But then again, that could have just as easily been done by using a different sized talon hole like they did when they first started offering the Battle Grade versions of other blades.

Certainly makes since, but what I'm really wondering is why not make the INFI blades the thinner ones and the SR101 blades thicker? Is the price reduction on sr101 contributed to less total steel or? And if so again why not do it with the infi?

My guess is with a heavy knife you're more likely to be hitting hard things, so you want the edge stability of INFI. With a lighter knife you're likely to hit softer things, and cut with it more, so edge holding is more of a benefit.
