Hi, my name is Al Welke and I would like to offer a free Becker sheath of your choice, for your Becker that needs one :)

Post a pic of the Becker in need doing some Thanksgiving day chores. My wife will pick her favorite for the lucky winner.

Thanks for playing :thumbup: and Happy Thanksgiving to all.
Al

Really cool idea for a GAW annnd....a really awesome prize! I need some azwelke! I'll see what I can muster up for pics. Now, which of my children deserves a new pair of fancy pants? hmmm...

Al, thanks for the chance. I love this idea....but I have a question: is more than one pic allowed? I'm just gonna go ahead and post these anyway, but I'll remove whatever I need to on your say so.

My pie crust skills are sadly lacking. Fun to make some "embellishments" to hide some pretty ugly tears; still stabbed it with my 9 anyway! Surprised me that the 9 works better than my kitchen knives for making the vents - thicker blade! Looking forward to tomorrow and tasting it, hope it tastes better than it looks....

I'm in for my 9. Thanks for the chance!
My 12 year old daughter said that she wanted credit for taking these pictures, so here it is, sweetheart.

I'm in for my BK24.

The 9 makes a great serving for slabs and chunks. I found that it's also pretty good for digging the meat out of the "hollows" after you've cut as many slabs off as you can.

Just got a sheath from your online store for my BK7. Very pleased with it.

I wont enter the contest though, just adding the fact that you make some great sheaths :)

Here I am using the BK-5 to cut up a bunch of squash. The squash didn't stand a chance.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I used my 9 to chop up and burn a bunch of limbs in my yard.

Of course, I worked shirtless. Did I mention I look remarkably like Brad Pitt? :D

Oh man, this one had me laughing out loud in my very empty, silent office...thank you for that!

I'm so mad my turkey carving pics with the 15 are too dark!! I do have dessert prep pics though, I put the 14 and signature series kitchen knives to work on some hand picked apples. It was the perfect ending to Thanksgiving dinner! Thanks for the opportunity azwelke!

Used my friend's (Bruce/Weaponeer) borrowed BK15 to cut the turkey, wild pig loin, veggies, etc. My BK15 should arrive by mid-week...

That looks yummy. Not even the 9 could rescue my complete lack of ability in rolling out crusts. It still baked fine, and tasted great....but it was still damn ugly.
BTW, what kind of apples did you use? I used some honeycrisps, and they were outstanding.

Oh man, i cant even remember all the apples I used to be honest. We went to an orchard locally and they gave us a bunch of different types that were good this late in the year, and good for pies. We did use honeycrisp (they're one of my favorites), macoun, fuji, pink lady, jazz, liberty...there were more but I honestly cant remember. It was really good but I wish we only used one kind because there was no way of telling which were the best. I should've made a bunch of mini pies with each type and compared lol...

Thanks for all the participation, I will let this go till Wed. at noon (AZ time)
Keep the pics coming!

For the finished product!:

Need to convex my 9 for next year's turkey (and the next forest I need to process). V-edges are no good for slicing meat (or at least to my finnicky knife enthusiast mind), so I had to resort to using my already convexed 2. Still worked wonderfully.
Thanks for the chance! Love your work azwelke!

Kissa$$! :D

Hey, the king needs a new pair of pants :p.

But seriously, he makes kickass sheaths. I got a azwelke sheath for my 2 and it is the best. Excellent fit and finish and everything, not to mention 500000x the functionality of the stock sheath (take out with one hand, no edge dulling, no floppy strap, etc. etc. et cetera).
