For sale are the following knives. USPS Priority, CONUS only. First "I'll Take It" in this thread, followed by a PM, will get the knife. I probably won't be able to get to the post office until Friday or Saturday, so these would ship then.
First is a Böker barlow with desert ironwood scales. This has been sharpened and carried, but I don't recall using it for anything. Asking$120. SOLD
Next is a Le Sabot L'Alpin. Rosewood scales, 12C27 blade. This is almost the same size as an Opinel #8 - Slightly shorter handle, slightly longer blade. 4 1/4" closed, just shy of 3 5/8" blade. This has been sharpened and carried a few times, but never used. This is sold as rosewood, as the box says. The rosewood species that looks closest to this knife is tulipwood, so I suspect that this is tulipwood, but it could be a different rosewood species. Knowing the propensity of French knives to have blade rap, I put a piece of aluminum foil in the blade well to catch the tang. I don't know if it would have blade rap without it, I never tried. A small piece of leather would also work well for this purpose. Asking$60. SOLD
Next is a Fox Livri with M390 blade and coyote burlap micarta scales. NIB, it has only been out for pictures. Comes with a leather slip. Asking $100.
Next is a Viper Easy Open from Mike Latham, M390 blade and bocote scales. This is the design with no spring, only detents at the closed, half stop, and open position. Very nicely done blade crowning, too. This has been sharpened and carried, but as far as I can recall, not used for anything. Asking $100.
Finally, an Otter small Hippekniep (small sodbuster) with grenadil (African Blackwood) scales. This is new, never sharpened, carried, or used. The label on the sleeve is marked carbon steel, but I think it is stainless because I have another one like it that is definitely stainless. Asking $55.
