I have sold both of the Case mini copperhead knives I had, and the Queen half whittler. When I saw this one in the exchange I thought it would make a nice replacement. It arrived in today's mail, and does indeed.

The main blade here is a clip, rather than wharncliffe.

I'm not usually in favor of blade etches, but the reverse etch on this one is not bad.

Very nice Doug. I got a Tree Brand Stockman for Xmas, but I've barely had a chance to carry it yet :)

My first Solingen knife. But it is stainless, not the famous Solingen steel.

Looks like a nice knife, Doug. Is the handle material bone? However, looks like a great compagnion. :) I´m sure, you´ll enjoy it.

Thanks for the comments fellows. I'm just now seeing them as I was busy posting other photos.

I read somewhere that this model came with rosewood handles, and that is actually what I was hoping for, but I do like the red bone.

Even though slightly shorter than the Case 32087 pen (3.3125" closed), the Böker (3.0625" closed) is ever so slightly wider.

That's the knife that I regret letting go. I had a 240 in carbon steel with rosewood scales, and it was a great knife. But an acquaintance kept pestering me, so eventually I sold it to him, then found out the dealer didn't have them anymore. :grumpy:

But that red bone looks very good.

Carl.

Nice Boker Doug, I am a fan of Boker both their carbon and stainless, they do heat treats right, I like the Boker blade etch.
Have fun with your new toy.

Pete

Böker Germany do a very good knife in my experience, both carbon&stainless. Their 3 blade Whittler is particularly desirable, so too their lockbacks.
