Böker Tree Brand half whittler 240 SS (with apologies to Carl for the name)

I like it, the bone looks excellent and I dig its smooth texture. As far as I'm concerned the newer Bokers I've handled seem to be of respectable quality and construction. Even at that, they don't seem to get near as much press as I would think that they'd receive.

That's a beauty Doug! You're killing me, now I want one to go with my similar, yet much smaller, Boker rosewood pen (in carbon steel). And I already have a Boker blue bone Copperhead on the way... :D

Hmmm, I thought I was looking at a pen knife ("the" pen knife?).

Great looking knife, Doug. I'd enjoy seeing it together with Zippofan's smaller iteration, the secondary blade of which is one of the tiniest I've seen on a production knife.

Thanks, and I would too. This one has the smallest secondary blade of any I own (1.125" Pen).

Doug, I have a Böker 240 Pen in Honeycomb jigbone. Nice thick handles, but I've noticed an oddity: despite having stainless blades it has a carbon backspring! Quite the opposite of CASE's cv set-up (stainless spring) How about your Redbone example?

Thanks a lot, Will

Be warned, Doug. This little knife will probably "only" handle 95% of the things you need a knife for, and will probably "only" last 25 years or so. ;)

Due to your post Doug, I've got the tiny Böker on board today. It's actually a tidy knife with a lot of character!

Regards, Will

Much smaller?

This one is barely over 3" closed.

Oh, and thanks for the kind words.

My little rosewood pen is 2.75". The secondary blade is 1 1/8" from tang to tip, tiny for sure :)

I just picked up a black pearl Bulldog, it's even smaller at 2 1/2". Perfect for where I work ;)

That's one of my favourite patterns. Here's a few older ones circa 1970s and Boker made the same pattern for Henckels up until a few years ago. I hope they are of interest

Much interest, thank you.

My Böker is close to the Henckels badged one in bone. The semi-sunk joints ensure no trouble with ripped pockets.

They sure are! :) Thanks for posting those up. I like Boker's frosted etch very much, but the Twins and the beautiful covers make up for its absence on the Henckels.
