A big thank you to you as well!!! Lexi and Pokey definitely deserve a thanks. As does the rest of the crew. They all deserve a BIG Thanks for designing, implementing, and getting the B-10 LE into our eager hands! I've been especially excited for this blade for a lot of reasons.
Thanks again!
Have you been able to use it yet? It seems to me like it'll be a great chopper, yet so much more. It's thick enough to be a great chopper, yet thin enough with a FFG, and hopefully razor sharp edge (I'm sure there are many accomplished sharpeners at Busse, but Beef has always done an incredible job IME) to be SO useful for many other purposes: clearing brush; battoning; digging (if necessary); food prep; and other tasks that would normally be done with a shorter knife if ever you are stuck with just one knife for whatever reason.
I've never used a BWM LE because The BWM handles don't work for me, but it seems like it is one of the most versatile large Busses and is sought after by many. I think the B-10 LE will carry the same appeal as the BWM LE does for sure.
Sounds like a lazy mail person. You can file a complaint.
Your very welcome, Flux!! Enjoy!
Flux, since you own both choiled and choilless b10s, would I be possible to get the cutting edge length of the two? I just read LVC's "quick review" and he got me wishing I ordered the choilless version. I'm sure I'll be happy either way. They lOok like a sweet piece of steel.
Awesome man! Congratulations on getting your B-10s. I think you're right about the B-10 being great for carrying, while the B-11 and other larger Busses are for close to the home use.Congrats Flux!
I was able to pick my choilless on Friday since I had the day off. Got a slip too, but I'm never home during the weekday so I'm used to the delay.
Now I'm torn between the B10 LE and the B11. Maybe the former will be the hiking/backpacking blade and the later will be the "out in the back woods" blade.
I like your idea for a sheath. Keep us informed on what you decide on and how it works for you.
BTW, I've used my smooth B9 for all the things you mentioned in post #8 and I'm sure the B10 LE will not disappoint you.
