It's done. The final poll's results are:
Design # 4 = 36 (20.00%)
Modified design # 2 = 36 (20.00%)
Guy on Split = 14 (7.78%)
2-Color design # 1 = 9 (5.00%)
2-Color design # 2 =17 (9.44%)
3-Color design # 1 = 38 (21.11%)
3-Color design # 2 = 30 (16.67%)
Here are images of the designs.
3-Color design # 1 wins with Design # 4 and Modified Design # 2 as close seconds and 3-Color Design #2 in 3rd place. I guess now we need talk price and take orders.
The members who have experience with buying or making patches have mentioned Stadri Emblems as the place to go. Their advertised prices per unit for 3" patches with 100% embroidery area and up to 10 colors are:
12 pcs at $9.25 each
50 pcs at $2.96 each
100 pcs at $1.70 each
We need to add shipping to this price, I'm guessing around .70 per individual order, probably less.
It's possible they can offer a lower price. Probably Thomas Linton or Darklight (who have experience with Stadri) can check for better prices.
We got 111 votes (non-repeated) so we can probably order at least 100 patches of 3-Color Design #1. We can also order additional designs if there are enough orders willing to pay the higher price per patch. Design #4, Mod. Design #2 and 3-Color design #2 have enough votes to maybe get 50 orders which would keep the patches economical.
Some of you indicated in the poll thread your desire to buy 1 or 2 of whatever wins. Please confirm this and make it an official order.
It would be easier if someone fronts the money for the order. I can't do that. If no one volunteers to do so, the orders will have to be pre-paid. If come one fronts the money, it would be easier if the same person handles the mailing, since that person will receive all the individual payments. If no one fronts the money, I can receive the individual payments, place the orders and handle the mailing.
So please make your orders indicating design and # of patches.
Orders will be taken until OCT. 31st. If no one volunteers to front the money by Oct. 26th, orders have to be pre-paid by Nov. 2nd.
