Well, I had a customer want a knife based around the WSK design. Here is my take on the knife....not perfect but will be just a more simple take on the knife.
No Saw Teeth so you will be able to use the back of the spine and the handle with 2 hands if needed. No hook to get in the way of chopping, Full height flat grind so its not such a steep wedge that limits the cutting depth.

Anyway....thats my take on the design and the customer wanted to incorporate the butt of the Camp Digger design I make. All in all I like it so far.
Its larger than the Becks WSK I think....I'll have to pull mine out and compare. Its ground from just a hair shy of 1/4" thick 0-1 and will have a big ol' temperline hammon on it :)

Thanks for looking

I like it. I like the size and feel of WSK type knives and like a broad blade to begin with but I always thought one withOUT the gimmicks would be so much better and that looks like what you have going there. I can't wait to see how it turns out

The only thing I would want to change if I were to order a similar piece would be to have the plungeline as close as possible to the guard. I like having the edge super close the the handle. You might have other plans for the ricasso though(?)

I like being able to rest your finger in front of the blade so yoy can use it with more precision if needed...Just a pet peve of mine :)
I think the blade is 7" .........I'll need to measure again

Very Nice
probably why I am waiting for my name to rotate back to the top of your to do list:D

Very nice Brian:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: I can't wait until my order with you is finished. You make a top shelf knife:)

Nice work.

I definitely agree with the grip flexibility and choking up over the guard. All my big choppers have that and looking at it again you have provided a nice little ramp. It looked flatter to me at first and seemed to be begging for more grind but I do really like what you've done, especially in light of the blade size.
