This is a fantastic dagger! It sports a 4.75 double-edged O-1 tool steel blade and overall it is 10".
The blade was ground from 3/16" bar stock and heat treated to 60-62 Rc. It is truly hair popping sharp! It is coated with Gun Kote brand epoxy finish. The coating is black and is completely corrosion resistant.
The handle was crafted from green/black striped G-10 with white vulcanized fiber liners. The scales are riveted to the tang by 1/4" brass tubes flared to 3/8" at the ends. This method of attachment uses no adhesives and makes the handle impervious to both temperature and physical shock. There is a small mark on one side of the handle. It can be seen in the first photo but, you won't feel it if you run your finger nail over it. It is a part of the handle, not a scratch on it. It is totally insignificant but I mention it for the sake of accuracy.
The sheath is crafted from 7-8 oz. leather and dyed dark brown. A welt has been sewn into the seam to prevent the knife from cutting the stitching when it is drawn. Very well made and solid. It fits the knife like a glove.
I own a lot of knives and I can assure you this is truly a remarkable custom one! The knife is DEAD MINT and hasn't cut even through thin air!
This dagger is different than the vast majority of daggers: most of the daggers are made to be used as piercing instruments with limited cutting ability. This particular one though, is an exceptional cutter due to the width of the blade and the excellent blade geometry. She is such a good cutter that I wouldn't hesitate to use her as a bushcraft knife too!
Asking price is $160 which includes PayPal fees and delivery with tracking number anywhere in the U.S.A.
This is a bargain price for a knife of this quality. I wish I could hold on to her but, other priorities detect that I let her go.
