B13

I have to know a price point before I can commit to more than one at this time. Wish I could say otherwise. I wish I'd hear back from GARTH for crying in the pigpen.

While I am not Jerry, haha, my guess would be that a Hog Ganza style deal would get these in the mid 300's.

The Basic 8 LE was $327 with a discount to $317 if you bought more than 1. I'd guess the starting point would be $400 but more if it's a Bolo. Maybe in the $450 range.

If that's the case sign me up for one. I'll have enough stashed away by the time we hear what's up with it. $1/week should do it. ;)

$497 regular price, with a $437 special HOG deal at initial offering. One can wish...

I don't think you can compare this to a Basic 8, because of the width of the blade. This blade would have to be as wide as a FBM, so the price would be in the $500.00 range.

Nah, slightly more blade width shouldn't increase production costs much, if any. A TTKZ uses way more INFI width and handle material, yet is in the $600 range coated. Res-c (essentially pour molded oil resistant rubber) is way cheaper to make & process than micarta or g10. No machining, no sanding, just slide it over the tang and press in one, not 3 or more, tube fastener. Coated Basic 11's were $297, so $40 more for ~2 more inches with a little extra width puts a cg at $337. Maybe an LE or BIG satin version would be another $90 for $427, both of which add up to 13. ;) I'm just fine with coated cg's, I plan on 6 of them and just one of the uncoated. Stripping is too easy to require it factory done on all of them and lower pricing sells way more blades. :D

Edit: This is post 813 which reads B13 on my calculator!

Oh, and don't forget, there was only $10 difference between the two inches of satin B8LE & B10LE. ;)

We also have to account for when those past blades were released. There was a price increase in INFI blades a year or so ago. Knives released before then can't totally be compared.

Tim is right though. The width wouldn't add that much. Look at the recent CGFBM ganza price. Under $500.

I agree with the prices on past knives you quoted, no argument about that. The Basic 11 was $297.00 blade special in 2009, but it wasn't very wide. I was always under the impression that more INFI = more price. This bolo blade will be as wide as the FBM or pretty close to it. The last FBM on the recent blade show ganza was $497.00, yes it was cerakoted, CBT, and micarta slabs, but its 10" long. Just my guess if this ever does comes out it would be mid to high $400.00 range. I would hope it to be much cheaper, so I could buy two of them.

Count me in! I would personally prefer one that is not .325 inches thick, this is not needed-something like .200-.225 would be perfect

I am certain the B13 will show up in fear the walking dead tonight and that Jerry will announce it's release tomorrow....
