B13

Well the tip is broader than the rest on the Hognose War Sword... pretty sweet! Still... 13ring it! :D
 
Well...I just grabbed a B11 off the exchange. ...turns out it's about 2" short. But will do for now I guess.
 
Me too, 13" of thinfi with res-c will be much more handy/practical than 16" of sr-101... but the Hognose War Sword will still be fun to mess with in the meantime. :) Gladius vs HWS should be fun. :D

HNWS is cool, but me too.

We've seen some chunks of SR101 and Infi that would dwarf
our Bolo13. I take that as a sign it should be completely doable.

I'm sure Jerry will come through for us, but I'm hoping its sooner rather than later as we'll still be dealing with 16 weeks or so of lead time after the fact.

BTW, congrats Tim on the HNWS credit.
 
If given a choice I would choose to have the B13 EXACTLY the same as the B11 accept 2" longer. My B11 is my most used knife and I love everything about it. However longer would be even better. I'm not fussed about fancy grinds or shapes. If they happen then great but its hard to improve on what already works so well. Just keep it the same but make it longer.

Since I have a 1311, I was initially a little meh on the B13 idea, but I'm starting to come around. Something around .20-.22" thick and full flat sounds pretty sweet. A 13asic BOLO sounds even more epic. Still a little hazy on the details, but the ideas are starting to take shape...

I have to agree that the B-13 would be much more practical and useful than the Hognose WS as a chopper.

The Hognose WS is in the category with the shiva rex and pregnant dodo knife, exotic and interesting looking knives, but not very practical IMO.
 
There are a lot of neat novelty/exotic designs out there that look cool/droolworthy, however the B13 while not the prettiest option is absolutely a user that will easily earns it keep/respect with the lovers of lightweight choppers. A bolo13 would make it even more desirable in the utility & looks aspects, 13ut I just wish to see something come to fruition on this. 13+ inches of INFI & res-c for the win! :thumbup:
