I have this model 805 in S30V ,with signatures from Chuck and CJ Buck from 04. It has the COA that says it is one of 1000, but the serial # is blank and there is no serial number on the knife. Is this common or is it a reject or over-run?
Thanks Rick

Sounds to me like a reject :D
Better just send it to me :D
I honestly have no idea, all of mine had a #...
Maybe yours is a super rare and valuable one of a kind! :)
Good luck.

Upstream,

Can you post a pic for all to see???

I have been trying to add pics but there is a local server problem and they won't upload.

Hi Upstream....
Sometimes the knives are not serialized or marked. I'm not familiar with the 805 IRL, but have seen this in the 110 line where it will say "your knife is 1 of xxxx made".
To me that means that only xxxx of these were made and you have "one" of them.
Just my thought...

This is the first one I have seen without a serial number. It is a nice knife, there are no defects that I can see.

note: the "C" in the first signiture is complete but does not show at this angle.

Thanks again, Rick

I have an Signature 805 inbound. I have a feeling it won't have a serial # either. No big, plan is for it to be my personal steak-knife :) Will that qualify it as a user? ;)

Actually I bought this one to be a user but it's going to be hard for me to scuff this thing up. Thanks Rick

so, does that mean that of the 1000, there are some that are some missing numbers or that there are units numbered in the complete from 1-1,000 and that there are extras?

Exactly what I was hoping to find out from the serious Buck collectors here.

I didn't intend that to be an insult to anyone, Sirusly...

I didn't take it that way Upstream :)

I meant that I am not a serious collector.
I'm just a Prospect, Hang Around, Neophypte, or, at best, Apprentice. I "dabble" like Darryl "tinkers".
Dudes here have knowledge older than dirt...

As for the serial number, mine is numbered 07xx/1000 on the left side near the spine. The numbers are very faint and the mirror finish makes it difficult to read.

Why not list the serial #????
Mine is 502 LOL, Just kidding I don't have it anymore :D

Your sn should be in this photo

Just to the left of the BOS logo near the spine. I don't see it in the pic -- lighting(?) or it's not there.
