It's a big knife but too short for a full size bolo machete.........so it's a Baby Bolo :) Another one of a kinda camp and trail blade from the dark cave I call a shop. 15 5/16in overall with a 9 1/2in blade tip to handle. Steel is 1/4in thick 5160 with my differential heat treat. A visible hamon is there too :) Flat ground bevels with a satin finish. Scales are sculpted natural canvas micarta with flared stainless steel tube fasteners. Price for this one is $325***SOLD***. I have not made a sheath for it yet but I can do something in Kydex for another $40(adds a few days to make) or I can ship it to the sheathmaker of your choosing.

There's (maybe) one person on these forums who has owned/used more knives by Bill than me. They're always perfectly executed, pure-work tools and I've never been disappointed in one of them. This handle, however, is a step above, and probably the most comfortable chopping handle I've tried. You can pick up some of the contour in the pics above, but trust me there's a LOT of swoop to these scales, and not the flashy kind of swoop but the finger-snuggle kind.

Between this and another that Bill's just put out, I'm wondering if this new ergo style will move from trend to norm...

It's always troubling to attempt to logically justify to myself why I would need yet ANOTHER knife that will outlive me. Hence, I don't think about stuff like that and let my inner Daffy Duck take over:

IT'S ALL MINE!! MINE, YOU UNDERSTAND?! MINE MINE MINE!!!!!!! BWAAAAAAH HA HA HA!!!

Warren--YOU need to send that off for independant verification---
Bill Siegle deserves all the prasie he gets---but 2 opinions are better than one--lest that opinion is mine....

And what's this "maybe" stuff too...

Well, I keep buying Bill's knives off of you, so I have my collection plus a large swath of your collection. ;)

You'll get to play with it...
