Back for more, with Fresh new questions and some antler to trade

Soooooo, i haven't been on here for a very long time. i moved and everything got all mixed up. but i am back, and i am going to be making a forge right away This one here

has anyone made one of these things? or a variant of one of these? I've started making one and was wondering if anyone had some pointer to making it more efficient. also was wondering if i should use charcoal or just coal with it. any help would be appreciated.

also, i have a big piece of antler that i was wondering if anyone would be willing to trade a chunk of it for some good steel . (i hope my post does not get deleted. if I'm out of line trying to trade here than i am sorry and will edit this post.)

Hummm. i should have said this, the antler is Elk.
