Hey Everybody.....

Got back from SHOT Show late Saturday and spent yesterday trying to clear the lungs of a week of canned air and the assorted crud that lurks in ancient hotel rooms........Another few coughing fits and all will be well....

Fom a business sense the show went extremely well.......lots of orders, etc....It is really great to meet new people and see old friends from shows past.......I just wish I could spend more time getting to know the people I meet.......Some could become good friends.......The KaBar booth was absolutely slammed....... I saw a few industry friends during set up but had absolutely no time to visit buds or see a damn thing.......
I guess that is a good thing but, I really missd the schmoozing.........

John Stitt and i discussed some fun new projects which are all confidential at this point.......Was that tease kind?......Probably not... Sorry about that....... Well, not really.......

A little word about the state of the outdoorsy industry as I see it...... The humorless and self righteous twerps among the body politic are after our guns this week but have already indicated that knives are next....Knives are arms and the only safety for knife ownership lies in the second amendment ......If you think this is overblown hyperbole look at what the siily fools in England have done....They are seriosly trying to ban the sale of pointy KITCHEN knives for crissakes !!!!!!!.l....If you think the humorless twerps here are any smarter than THEIR humorless and clueless twerps, think again.......The tools of the outdoorsman are knives and guns and axes....We must protect our rights as outdoorsmen......Let your elected officials know that you give a damn......Call them, write them, email them and then do it again ..... smother them in your concern or in my case outrage at their stupidity and callous disregard of my rights......

Anyway back to the state of the industry.....It was weird to hear of large companies saying to willing customers that they could no longer take orders because they were so behind....Every powder company, every cartridge company, every gun company seems to be running 24/7-365........Sooo, short term all is well but, the idiots must be stopped or we will all be suffering......Big time......

Glad to be back........

Ethan

Sounds like a great show from a business perspective, glad you made it home safe and sound. We'd best heed the advice too or no whimpering allowed down the road.

Hey Ethan, welcome back! We have some good folks here, oh and Tradewater. I hope you stick around.

Welcome back Mr. Becker. I am glad to see the buisness side is going well.

Welcome back! Good to see that business is excellent. It seems to be the bright shining spot in all of this political shenaniganery.

Hey boss. Glad you had a good trip and you're back and safe. It's a damn bummer though that you bring such news with you though. They can have my sharp pointies; when they pry them from my cold dead hands!

Welcome back...Your knives are selling good for a reason...I love the 10, hoping that a bk1 is actually made.

As for me, obviously my name says it, but I am an American living in Europe. I can vouch for the strict laws on outdoor stuff. I sent letters, emails, and called in, not much more I can do since my job keeps me here. It is a POA that camping and fishing (similar to gun registration a licensing here, extremely long process) are so regulated. I miss the US of A and quite frankly, real men, IE, outdoor guys I can hang out with, go to the woods, have a BBQ and enjoy beautiful scenery...oh and Beckers :).

Can't wait to be back there with all of you guys too. Ethan, you make some beautiful knives and you seem like a pretty cool guy too. Thanks for posting your stuff up round here!

Welcome back boss! Glad you had a good time (Sounds like you did at least). Glad the overall state of the industry is good.

New stuff? Nice! Glad to hear sales are good. Maybe you'll give us a small itty bitty clue as to what next on the horizon? RBK I hope....

welcome home glade you had a good time, and yes these are disturbing times indeed!

welcome back, glad to hear the business side of it went well. As for the political crap, definitely not the best news. interesting and trying times for liberty and freedom in this country at the moment. Lets hope cooler heads prevail.

Welcome back. I know what you mean when you say things are crazy. I was in the gun store (he also has knives...i mean KaBars.....damn, i mean Beckers (a few)) just down the street from me. They wanted me to wait in line for (I'm predicting 2 and half hours- the line was soo long, almost out the door) just to talk to a sales rep so I could finger a BK11 from the glass case.

OK, just so I don't get into trouble here; I would have waited for that long just to touch another BK knife, but my wife would not have. She indicated to me "screw this" so we left.

It was great to meet you and talk about knives. Love my BK16.

Kiss ass.

:D

Good to have you around, Seth.

I talked to Ethan, I think I heard Death in the background. Man has some serious sickness going on.

It never fails, every trip to Vegas, he winds up sick as hell. I bet its all that hand shaking, and airplane recycled air.

Eh, dangers of the job I guess.....
