Back from the Australian Outback

All he took was RAT Cutlery knives. We would not allow him to carry anything else! :D I think they were the gay hooker models that we're doing :D

Wonder if they were carried in a BUTT pack. (sorry....couldn't resist) Great pictures of some great terrain. Thank you very much for sharing with those of us who don't get to go places like that. It gives me something to look forward to down the road.

Sweet pictures. Glad you made it back in one piece. Not that I would expect any different, especially with someone packing RAT gear :D

I agree, Great pics as always. I'm freakin' envious 'cause that's a place I have always wanted to go but haven't yet!

BTW: I was only joking about the RAT Cutlery knives. If I remember correctly he took several different knives down. Looking forward to his reviews. Bear is making quite the name for himself in the outdoor world. Between him and Joe Flowers they are my favorite authors now in TK.

Welcome back, man! Beautiful shots! It must have been a blast!

Australia: The Place Scary Poisonous S*** Calls Home! :D :D :D

Looks like a great trip Reuben. Thanks for the pics, welcome back, and I've enjoyed reading your articles in the knife mags.

Cant wait for some more pics they are great. YES you would pass for a street walker on Santa Monica lol that pic is just wrong im telling you ... How did you manage with the funny sounding so called English they use down under lol.. Where abouts did you go???

Sasha

Hmm. You've seen considerably more of "the OZ" than I have. I think your business is much more interesting and adaptable than mine ... :D

Of course, I'd like to know what happened to the poor fellow who used to be in those boots. I guess they make some pretty big vultures in the Outback.

Finally, I'm waiting breathlessly for any pics you might have of wine country. Never got there ... but I've always been interested. Love their Shirazes. Penfold = Heaven!!

...and welcome back, sadly, to boring North America.;)

More from around the continent of Australia

Aborigines-When taking photos of them it is wise to ask. It is also completely unlike me to wait, or ask and risk mising the shot that may only last for 5 seconds. It is better to take the shot and run!

Rainforests of Tasmania, Australia. Kick off point was Hobart. A place I really love.

Started this hike at about 12 am, which was against everyones (locals) better judgement. They all had tales of the forest at night which only encouraged us. In reality there were some pretty experienced outdoorsmen among us. Real world travelers. It is always best to do these things with a team of people and to know everyones strengths and weaknesses.
