I think restoring one to make a useable knife would be great, anyway you do it. Though incase you were not aware, AC also sells new khuk hilts as well if you wanted to go more traditional. But nothing wrong with a hybrid Tal-kuri or khuk-war as something fun and unique in my opinion.
 
You would be breaking Penal Code 46 Section 10 of the MCETK (Main Code of the Ethical Treatment of Khukris)! There is a way to have you records expunged tho. Post a bunch of progress pics:thumbup:
 
Ah yes, Penal Code 46. How could i forget that one. Good thing you planned to photograph the entire operation so we can all see that no khukuris were harmed in the making of it :D
