Hey everyone!

I’ve been away from Bladeforums for a while; I honestly thought I had lost all interest in knives...boy was I wrong!

I got the itch again, but unfortunately the time has come for me to really start cracking down on my budget to buy my wife a nice house. However, I am allowing myself just ONE MORE knife until after I buy a house (which will be a long time from now).

I narrowed it down to three knives:

1. Benchmade Auto Triage
2. Benchmade Mini Infidel
3. Benchmade single edge Pagan

At first I wanted to get the most useful knife as possible, but then I decided I want a fun knife while still retaining some sense of usefulness. Below are my reasonings for my decisions:

1. Benchmade Auto Triage- I am a trauma/ICU nurse, so this knife naturally fits my lifestyle. I love the versatility of the knife, and it opens with a very reassuring snap.

2. Benchmade Mini Infidel- Who doesn’t like a good OTF? I love the Infidel design, and I especially like the compact size of the mini. OTFs have the fun factor, and I’ve heard the Infidel series are pretty durable knives that can last a lifetime if cared for properly.

3. Benchmade single edge Pagan- All of the same reasons as the Mini Infidel, apart from size. I like the single edge for the increased utility, and I like the smooth feel of the Pagan.

Now the things holding me back: the Auto Triage would be useful indeed, but I already keep a rescue tool in each of my vehicles, in my backpack, and at home, so the tools of the Triage may be redundant. The Infidel and the Pagan may not be as durable and take as much abuse as the Triage, and they have less utility factor. Also, they may be viewed more as a weapon if used in public.

Please help me make a decision! I have handled them all, and love them all. I appreciate all the help I can get! Also, please limit it to just these three.

Bottom line, which one would YOU choose and why?

Thanks!

I would go with the mini infidel. It also depends where you live and if you are legally allowed to carry it. I love mine but you have to be careful when traveling.

The Adamas , in case somebody forgets the "Jaws of Life" ! ;)
