Back on Active Duty soon.

Good luck. Watch yourself and come back in one piece!!

I'd recommend a WWII, but that's just me. Keep safe, man!

Keep us informed.

Well, it's official. Our vehicles and equipment leave for the port on March 1. Back to the sandbox. No word as of yet on our official activation date, but it can't be very far off. I'm just guessing here, but I figure I'll be in Iraq before the end of May. Until I get activated, I'll be checking in here most every evening. After that, who knows? I'll keep you posted.

Good luck, Sir, and thank you.

When you get settled over there, would you do me a favor?
Catch this Sarcawi (sic) character. He's causing a lot of pain to innocent people and he needs to be shot.

Also, it would be neat if you could stay in touch with HI forum. And I'd like to know about whatever poisonous snakes live there, too.

Thank you, keep yourself in one piece. More courage than I could muster
at any given time.

Maybe Mark could take one of your cats?

I would love to Rusty but The Bull (cat in Avatar) may not like a replacement for his brother just yet. Good luck with finding your boys a home Bill. Keep us informed.

Wear your seat belt Bill...it seems like accidents take as many men as anything else.

Watch yourself over there, Bill. When you find out where exactly you'll be at, be sure to let us know.

That's a lesson I keep hammering into my troops. More soldiers die from stupid screw-ups than from enemy action. I plan on bringing home all my troops, and all of them with all the pieces they started with. I'll watch my six, but only because I want to make sure that my troops are well. Take care of your troops, they'll take care of you.

Watch your six, Bill.

Hm. Got an email tonight from one of my former squadmates. He said Iraq is hell and it is a good thing that you got out when you did. i think you would have snapped if you came over here with us cause i am really close to it.
:(

I have come to believe that how well troops deal must partially be determined by who their chain of command is.

Come back safe.

John

Right on, Bill. You're a credit to the service. I have a few friends in four corners area. If you want, I'll ask and see if anyone wants to kitty-sit for a while.

Stay safe and thanks.

Watch your six and only take one of your Khukhuris. If you take two or more they will only get stolen or buddies will offer you ridiculous sums for them.

i wish you all the best and you take care of yourself--i thank you for what you are doing  :)
